  1. A word that conveys an action, event or state of being.
    1. Action
      1. Verbs expressing action, something that a person, animal, force of nature, or thing can do.
        1. Blinking, running, clapping, blowing
          1. Lucy was running to the train station as she was late.
      2. Saying
        1. Verbs that replace 'said'. It can be used to express emotions.
          1. Yelling, whispering, shouting, singing.
            1. Isabel was shouting as it was loud.
        2. Sensing
          1. Verbs that relate to how something looks, feels, sounds, tastes or smells.
            1. Hear, smell, taste, feel, see.
              1. This coffee tastes delicious.
          2. Relating
            1. Verbs that indicate the relationship that exists between two things.
              1. Be, consist, compromise.
                1. A latte consists of an espresso shot of coffee and milk.
            2. Auxiliary
              1. Verbs that help other verbs. They allow sentences to be written in different tenses, moods and voices.
                1. Be, do, have, will, shall, would, should, can, could, may.
                  1. I should study hard to get a good result.
              2. Finite
                1. Verbs that have a definite relation with the subject or nouns. They can show tense, person, or singular plural.
                  1. I go, she/he goes, he/she went.
                    1. She goes to dancing twice a week.
                2. Non-finite
                  1. Verbs that are not the main verb of a sentence as they do not talk about the action that is being performed.
                    1. To go, going.
                      1. She wants to go to dancing lessons.
