Even with all these policies people still use cars in freiburg.

200 miles of city paths, cycle storage at tram stops so people can bike and ride
No free car parking in city centre
City is compact, 70% of people live near a tram stop
Problems - Poplulation growth leading to increased traffic congestion in narrow city centre streets
