          • Health / Ethical Impacts
            • Can cause High Blood Pressure
            • Athletes may not be fully informed about risks
    • Biomass
      • There's less energy & less biomass every time you move up a stage in a food chain. There are usually fewer organisms every time you move up a level too.
      • Each bar on a pyramid shows the mass of living material at that stage of the food chain - basically how much mass the organisms had at each step of the chain if you put them all together.
      • the big bar along the bottom of the pyramid always shows the producer. the next bar will represent the Primary Consumer (the animal that eats it), then the secondary consumer and so on.
    • Carbon Cycle
      • Most of the chemicals that make up living tissue contain carbon. When organisms die the carbon is recycled so that it can be used by future generations.
      • Carbon enters the atmosphere as carbon dioxide from respiration and combustion.
        • Carbon dioxide is absorbed by producers to make carbohydrates in photosynthesis.
          • Animals feed on the plant passing the carbon compounds along the food chain. Most of the carbon they consume is exhaled as carbon dioxide formed during respiration.
            • The animals and plants eventually die. The dead organisms are eaten by decomposers and the carbon in their bodies is returned to the atmosphere as carbon dioxide.
    • Genes
    • Genetic Engineering
    • Plant Hormones
      • Auxin is a plant growth hormone
        • Controls growth in tips of shoots & roots
          • Growth in relation to light, gravity and moisture
            • Produced in tips and moves backwards the enlargement process
  3. Chemistry

    • Limestone
    • Ores And Extraction
    • Plant Oils
    • Atmosphere Evolution
