8.E.1. : Explain the relationship between the hydrospere and the atmosphere.
Hydrosphere is all the water on Earth and the atmosphere needs water for the people to live. Just
like in plastic surgery surgeons need different tools to complete a different number of surgeries.
Role of Water
Biology
8.D.1. Change Over Time: Recognize and describe that evolutionary change in species over time occurs
as a result of genetic variation in organisms and environmental changes.
Just like how the evolutionary change in species that occurs over time
is the result in environment changes, is the same thing in how plastic
surgeons developed change in tools over time. Now we have better
tools so the surgery can be better and the patient gets a more sufficient
result.
Change Over Time
Chemistry
8.D.2. Cite evidence of give examples of chemical
properties of substances.
When surgeons have to test out the chemical substance to
make sure it's not too little
Astronomy
Regular and Predictable Motion
Identify and explain celestial phenomena using the regular and
predictable motion of objects in the solar system
Just like how Earth has a pattern on how it rotate or revolves; plastic surgeons
have a pattern of how they prepare for the surgery. For example how they
sterilize their hands or how much anesthesia a patient needs so they have a
particular time they need to be finished.
Physics
8.A.1. Develop an explanation of motion using the
relationships among time, distance, velocity and
acceleration.
Just like how motion is always in motion unless it is acted upon by a force.
It's the same thing with surgery. If the surgeon is in motion then the surgery
proceeds but if the surgeon is suddenly acted upon then the surgery stops
until it is back in motion.
Thermodynamics
8.B.2. Heat Transformations: Identify and explain that heat
energy is a product of the conversion of one form of energy to
another.
Just like heat energy is the product of the conversion of one form of
energy to another, the scalpel the surgeons use to make incisions
goes from one part of the body to another part while making cuts.
Environmental Issues
8.B.1. Recognize and explain how human activities can
accelerate or magnify many naturally occurring changes.
When humans get surgery sometimes it will mess up something that naturally happens. For example
when a person that's transgender and they want to undergo hormonal shots, they change their
characteristics to bring out their secondary source and it will change what they naturally had.
