Distance Time Graphs
The gradient of a distance time graph for an object represents the object's speed
The steeper the gradient of the line on a graph, the greater the speed is
An object moving at a constant speed travels the same distance every second.
A Stationary object is a horizontal line
Moving at constant speed is a straight line that slopes upwards
Velocity
Velocity is speed in a given direction
Acceleration is CHANGE of velocity per second.
The unit of acceleration is metre per second squared
Acceleration= change of velocity/ time taken
Acceleration Equation: a= v-u / t
v=the final velocity in metres per second
u=the initial velocity in metres per second
t= time taken in seconds
