- She didn't even have mobile phones that she could research which sports would be good for her future.
So her father introduced her to gymnastics and she continued doing it.

- She had a flat foot which was a great challenge for her and her coach. Her coach was determined to make her a gymnast so he fixed her foot.
- Karmakar nursed an injury throughout the latter half of 2017; she had injured her knee while
practicing for the trials of the 2017 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
