1. Ribosomes

   • RNA Protein Complexes
   • Synthesized in nucleolus
   • Secreted into cytoplasm
   • The site of PROTEIN synthesis

2. Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)

   • Within the network
   • Synthesis and transport of proteins and lipid component of cell organelles
   • Rough ER
     • ER is attached with ribosomes and RNA particles
   • Smooth ER
     • There is no attachments
   • Communication with the Golgi complex

3. Golgi Complex

   • Final processing site for proteins
   • Transport vesicles
     • Bring proteins from ER
     • Collected by Golgi bodies at Cisternae
   • Secretory Vesicles
     • Proteins are processed and packed and released

4. Lysosomes

   • Hydrolase
     • Digestive enzyme
       • Breaks down proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids
   • Phagosomes
     • Fuse with lysosomes to dispense the digestive enzymes
   • Membrane prevents release and autodigestion of cytoplasm
