      1. Combustion Reaction : When an element reacts rapidly with oxygen it creates an oxide producing a lot of energy.
        1. Metals react with oxygen to produce metal oxides
          1. Metal Oxides combine with water to form bases e.g. Li 2O + H2O ---> 2LiOH
          2. Non metals react with oxygen to produce non-metal oxides
            1. Non-metal oxides combine with water to form acids. E.g. SO2 + H2) ---> H2Co3
