                1. COMING BACK INTO SPORT AFTER A LONG TIME AWAY , CAN FEEL LIKE AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK, BUT THIS PHYSICAL CHALLENGE CAN BE VERY SATISFYING. LONDAON MARATHON IS AN EXAMPLE WHERE PEOPLE HAVE DONE IT FOR FUN
                  1. EXERCISE,TRAINING & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CAN INCREASE FITNESS ,MUSCLES CAN BE STRENGTHEN & BECOME MORE FLEXIBLE THEREFORE BECOMING TONED.EXERCISING & PLAYING EXPENDS ENERGY , WHICH USES UP CALORIES WHICH CAN ASSIST IN LOSING WEIGHT

                1. Relieve and/or prevent stress and tension (Caused By work, school and family pressures)
                  1. Mental Challenge (Can I do it?)
                    1. Increase self-esteem and confidence (Completing a london marathon)
                      1. Help the individual feel good (Exercise produces serotonin- The 'feel good' hormone)

                  2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES PROVIDE A DISTRACTION FROM PROBLEMS OF DAILY LIFE, & CAN RELIEF STRESS & TENSION CAUSED BY WORK,SCHOOL OR FAMILY PRESSURES
                    1. THE LONDON MARATHON IS A TOUGH PHYSICAL CHALLENGE, BUT IT IS AN EQUALLY TOUGH MENTAL CHALLENGE- THE THOUGHT OF RUNNING 26MILES &365 YARDS.
                      1. MANY ACTIVITIES PROVIDE A PHYSICAL CHALLENGE. OVERCOMING SUCH A CHALLENGE GIVES A SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT WHICH CAN LEAD TO ANCREASE OF SELF-ESTEEM & CONFIDENCE
                        1. EXERCISE CAN LITERALLY MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD. IT PRODUCES SEROTONIN – ‘THE FEEL –GOOD’ HORMONE. REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IMPROVES FITNESS & BODY SHAPE, & HELPS PARTICIPANTS LOOK AND FEEL BETTER
                          1. MOST PEOPLE WHO PRACTISE SOME FORM OF PHYSICALLY ACTIVITY DO SO BECAUSE THEY ENJOY IT.
                            1. WHEN COMPETING MOST PEOPLE PUT ASIDE THEIR PROBLEMS & CONCENTRATE ON DOING WELL IN THEIR SPORT

                        1. MANY SPORTS ARE PLAYED IN TEAMS. WORKING IN GROUPS HELPS TO IMPROVE TEAMWORK & COOPERATION, WHICH ARE OFTEN NECESSARY FOR EVERYDAY LIFE. NETBALL,FOOTBALL,RUGBY & HOCKEY ARE GOOD EXAMPLES OF THIS.
                          1. MOMENTS IN SPORTS ARE SOMETIMES SEEN AS BEAUTIFUL. BEAUTY MAY BE SEEN AS A BRILLIANTLY EXECUTED GOAL OR SAVE IN FOOTBALL, A TRY IN RUGBY, A JUMP SHOT IN BASKETBALL. OFTEN IT IS THE OBSERVER WHO APPRECIATES THE PERFORMER. ICE DANCE OR GYMNASTICS, TEND TO BE MORE OFTEN THOUGHT OFIN THESE TERMS.
