Music Magazine Planning
- Music Genre
- I have chosen my music magazine to focus on the increasingly popular fusion of hip-hop and
pop music. I have chosen this because I feel there is a huge market and trend for this kind of
music at the moment and it keeps on rising. It is my favourite genre of music.

- My target audience will be males and
females between the age of 16 and 21 with an
edgy look. My audience would like artists like:
Miley Cyrus, Tyler The Creator, Eminem and
Kanye West. They would probably use this
magazine as well as news on social media for
their music fix. They probably wouldn’t buy any
other magazines, but would have a keen
interest in reading online articles about their
favourite artists. The kind of people that would
read this magazine would probably download
occasional albums off online stores like iTunes
but most of the time they would stream their
music online through platforms such as
YouTube and Spotify.

- I am using Hope Barrell on the front cover of my magazine as a
hip-hop/pop artist. They will be in the style of perhaps Miley Cyrus.
She will be against a plain white wall but that won't be seen as my
intention is for her face and hair to occupy most of the image.

believe that these colours are modern
making them appropriate for the theme of the

- Price and Frequency
- The price of my magazine will be set at £4.50 and will be produced
monthly. The reason for the high price is because the magazine
will be packed with stories and not many advertisements. The free
gift of music downloads will persuade the readers into paying the
higher price.
