Catholicism
1. the ony Christian denomination that has penance as a sacrament

2. Sin: The Catholic church recognises two types of sin; Mortal sins ( sins of a serious matter where the sinner performs the act with full intention and deliberate consent) and Venial sins (sins which do not meet the conditions of mortal sins)
