    1. Mummification
      1. Embalming (Taking the organs from the corpse and putting it in a jar.
        1. This gave Egyptians some knowledge of the human anatomy.
          1. But they didn't dissect the body thoroughly. They believed destroying someone's body meant that they wouldn't go to the afterlife. So experimental dissection was out. This limited the amount of knowledge that could be gained.
    2. Prevention
      1. They valued cleanliness. They bathed, shaved their heads and had toilets. They changed clothes regularly.
        1. Lead to comfortableness. It also had religious significance.
