A scanner scans things for you
and inputs your information.
A computer mouse is an input device that is most often used with a personal computer. In 1964 Douglas Engelbart
(1925-2013), a researcher at Stanford Research Institute, wanted to find a way to make using computers easier. In those days,
computers were large and expensive. Using them was very hard because everything had to be typed in by hand, and there was
no way to alter things if you made a mistake. Most mice also have a "scroll wheel"—a small wheel found between the two
main mouse buttons. The user can move the wheel back and forth to "scroll" through things like a website or folder.
KeyBoard
A keyboard Is used mainly to insert characters
on a monitor or to simply type. When you
press on a key, it sends a signal to the
computer which appears on the monitor.
There is a rubber Dome underneath the key
is, this is what sends the signal to the
computer when the keys are pressed down.
Microphone
A microphone is used to
input your voice into a
device.
Camera
You use a camera to take photos which you can connect to a computer and print or
you can just leave them on there. The word camera comes from camera obscura,
which means "dark chamber" and is the Latin name of the original device that was
used back then to take a sort of photos and videos. The modern photographic
camera evolved from the camera obscura. The functioning of the camera is very
similar to the functioning of the human eye. This means when we look through a
camera lense it is as if we are just looking through our own eyes because of how
similar they are.
