Day 5 God created the Birds of the Air and the Fish of the Sea
Day 6 God created animals and Mankind
Day 7 God saw it was good and rested
2. The Fall
Adam and Eve are in the Garden of Eden
The Serpant tries to tempt Adam
and Eve by saying that they can
eat from the Tree of Good and Evil.
The woman saw that the fruit
of the tree was good for food
and pleasing to the eye. So
she took some and ate it.
She also gave some to
her husband, who was
with her, and he ate it.
Then the eyes of both
of them were opened,
and they realized they
were naked.
God then cursed the
serpent. Then God gave
consequences to them
and kicked them out of
the Garden
3. Noah and the Flood
God saw the world
was full of sin and
wanted to wipe it
out.
Noah was a righteous man,
blameless among the people of his
time, and he walked faithfully with
God.
God told Noah to build an ark out of cypress
wood. God told Noah to make it with certain
specifications.
God told Noah it would rain for 40 days
and 40 nights, and sent Noah 2 of every
animal.
After the rain stopped Noah
sent a dove and it didn't come
back. It was a sign that the rain was over.
God had a rainbow to promise to never destroy the earth again
4. Abraham
Abraham was a faithful
follower in God. Abraham
was too old to have kids
God makes a covenant with
Abraham that he will be the
father of many nations.
God tells Abraham he will have a
kid. Sarai and Abraham laugh
because they are old.
They call the son Issac and it's meaning is laughter.
Later, God calls Abraham up to Mount Sinai to sacrifice his son Issac.
God just test Abraham and gives Abraham an
offering instead of his son because of his
faithfullness.
5. Jacob/Isreal
After Abraham died, his son
Isaac lived in the land of
Canaan.
Isaac and his wife Rebekah had
two children. The older was named
Esau and the younger Jacob
Esau was a man of the woods
and very fond of hunting; and he
was rough and covered with hair.
Jacob was quiet and thoughtful,
caring for the flocks of his father.
Esau, when he grew up, did not care for his
birthright or the blessing which God had promised.
But Jacob, who was a wise man, wished greatly to
have the birthright
Esau came in hungry from hunting and
sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of
food.
It was time to recieve the blessing and
Jacob tricked his Dad into giving him
the birthright instead of Esau
6. Joseph
His father's name is Jacob, and they
lived in Canaan from where his
grandfather was from.
Because Joseph was one of the youngest sons,
his father spent more time with him, and he
became very special to him. So Jacob had a
special robe made for Joseph.
All of Joseph's older
brothers saw this and
they got very jealous.
Joseph said he had a dream. We were tying up
bunches of grain out in the field when suddenly
my bunch stood up, while all of yours gathered
around and bowed to me.
Joseph's brothers became jealous and were
very angry. They sold him to merchants
going to Egypt.
Joseph eventually becomes the ruler of Egypt
and his brothers travel to Egypt because of
famine and bow down to him just like he told
them.
7. King David
God asked Samuel to find a new king. God chooses David.
The Israelites weren't getting along with the
Philistines. There is a man named Goliath
who is 9 feet tall.
Goliath was yelling insults and
telling them nobody could
fight him. David asked why
nobody stood up to him.
David went to a stream nearby and found five smooth
stones, put them in a pouch around his waist, and with his
sling he went to Goliath.
David goes and kills Goliath with his
sting and becomes the hero of the
people.
8. Moses and the Exodus
After the 10 plagues, the final plague
was too much for the Egyptians to
bear. Pharaoh told Moses to take
these people away and leave the
land of Egypt.
At that point they journeyed into the wilderness of Egypt and
came to the Red Sea. There were 600,000 men and also women
and children.
Pharaoh decided that it was too
humiliating to allow the Hebrews to
overpower him. He gathered his
army and commanded his chariots to
slaughter the Hebrews
Moses raised his staff and suddenly
the waters of the Red Sea parted. Pharaoh's
chariots chased after the Israelites into the
dry land and the sea had parted. Immediately
the waters came back on them and destroyed
them all.
The Israelites crossed the Red Sea on dry land
and made it to the other side, but now they
had entered the great and terrible wilderness
which God would test them for 40 years.
