  1. Sioux attacked travellers on the Bozeman Trail.
    1. Red Cloud forced withdrawel of army.
      1. Destroyed forts on the trail.
        1. Captain Fetterman and about 100 soldiers were killed by the Sioux.
          1. The second Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868 gave the Indians a smaller reservation called the Great Sioux Reservation which included the Bighorn Mountains and the Black Hills of Dakota, areas which were sacred to the Sioux.
            1. The White's were not allowed to enter theses lands.
