Mulvey's theory is not
admired by all, as some
woman enjoy being
looked at and idiolised,
people who like
attention.
Some theorists and people have
come to the conclusion that
woman get sexualised when their
gender and female sexiness has
nothing to do with that particular
scene or film.
As an audience, we can look at
characters in ways such as:
How females look at females.
How males look at females.
How females look at themselves.
The concept of male gaze
theory is how the audience
view the characters that are
presented.
The gaze can be directed to people who
are the same gender, it is not always
sexual.
In films with a prominant male gaze, women are forced to identify with
a male first , having to watch narrative in a secondary role.
Male gaze includes the dressing of women and body
image, in the eyes of a man,
