Conflict perspective they see society as divided by
class. There is a conflict of interests between classes,
which occasionally takes the form of strikes and other
protests.

Marxists believe that the working class will
eventually rise up and have a revolution,
overthrowing the ruling class resulting in a
communist society.

Feminism
Conflict perspective like Marxists, they see society as being divided,
but rather it is between the sexes.It is men who rule society and who
have the power in most social situations, relationships, families.....
Patriarchy; feminists are in favour of equal
opportunities for men and women, and of equal
relationships in all areas of life
New Right
Consensus perspective they tend to favour a
return to traditional values.
Nuclear families are the best and are against recent
developments such as the increase in divorce, cohabitation and
lone-parent families.
Interactionism
They do not start with society but with individuals. They are
interested in what happens when small groups of people are
together.
