      Annotations:

      • abraham called the father of hebrew,,according torah,he was the person who introduced this beleif to hebrew
      • according torah,it says God told him to move his family from mesopotamia to canaan,God also promised that he would make his father of great nation.
      •  about Abraham :  •he was borned in 2000 BCE in UR  •the people in UR worshiped many •Gods,but Abraham came to only belief one God. •his special relationship with god would became foundation of the Hebrew faith.
      • the covenant between god and abraham. around 1950 BCE he gathered his family to the west land in canaan.(God said leave your country and your father's house,and go to the country that i will show you .) when Abraham was 99 God spoke to him again,"i will make the covenant between you and myself"  God promised to bless his descendants and Abraham agreed he and his people will devote themselves to God to mark their covenants,God gave him new name, Abraham (before he named Abram) which means the father of many. god also promised canaan would became a promised land.
      1. Moses

        Annotations:

        • the person who was the greatest leader of the Hebrew. he led Hebrews escaped from slavery.
        • a famine forced Abraham's descendants to Egypt,but they became slaves for Egypt. God told Moses to free his people by send Moses to pharaoh. and when pharaoh refused God punished them with ten plagues.and finally moses led his people escaped from egypt.
        • after he led hebrews away from Egypt,he traveled through in wilderness for 40 years,and God gave him laws and teaching that became the foundation of judaism,its called ten Commandments.
        • moses climbed the mountain and returned carrying two tablets of stone. Engraved on the tablets were the Ten Commandments.the ten commandments remain israelites to belief only one God.like ''u shall have no other gods before me''...etc

          Annotations:

          • about 1000 BCE ,the Israelites were at war with a rival people,and the Philistines promised they will be the slaves if an Israelites can beat their ginat. and David made it his courage and faith were rewarded when he became king of israelites after the first king saul fell in battle. God promised that his throne will remain.
          • David completed the defeat of the Philistines as well as other enemies. he united the Israelites  david choose jerusalem to be the capital city,under his rule,this city became the center political and religious life.
          1. Solomon

            Annotations:

            • he was david's son he became king in 965 BCE solomon built a temple for jerusalem  he  strengthened the kingdom of Israel by making treaties with neighboring kingdoms, increased foreign trade, and developed industries such  as copper mining.
            • King David and King Solomon made major contributions to Judaism, laying the foundation for kings to govern Israel for more than 400 years. jewish became the most holy city because of their acts

              Annotations:

              • in 63 BCE judea was ruled by romans,and romans want to appointed a jewish who agreed with roman laws, but there were groups of jews rebelled them against roman control.

                • romans appointed a person who named herod to be the king,(but he was not jewish)

                  • a person who was the king oh herod,he rebuilt the temple and he converted to the jewish religion.but stilled many people distrusted him.

                    • In 4 BCE Herod died,his kingdom was divided by his three son,but rome sent their soldiers and replaced his three son.

                      • there were 4 followers written about his whole life,it became Gospel.(matthew luke john and mark) mary named his jesus becuase there was an angel  told her that God wanted his named to be Jesus
                      1. when he was 30

                        Annotations:

                        • when he was 30 ,a teacher known as john the Baptist identified Jesus as the Messiah. after praying for 40 days,he became preach in galilee.
                        • jesus gave his followers two basic rules,that is You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and all your soul.” and the second was “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”Jesus also taught people parables 
                        1. The Crucifixion and Resurrection

                          Annotations:

                          • after 2 years of traveled through many places and preached,his followers became larger and larger,but Romans thought he might led his followers to rebelled against the Rome,or his followers would make trouble.so Romans decided to killed him,before he died,he had the last supper with his disciples,and he said that a disciples  would betraied him. Jesus were found it because judah told romans where Jesus could be found,so Romans killed him. but after three days,he was resur,and his disciples belief he was son of god,Jesus sometimes join his father God,in heaven.however his disciples started to preaching and teaching their religion (christianity )

                          • his followers,his disciples were mostly commoners.

                      Annotations:

                      • he devote his life on preaching and teaching christianity. Paul adopted the Christian faith and became a missionary. he traveled through many empires and Romans also feared that it might affect their religion so paul was beheaded by romans in 65 BCE

                        Annotations:

                        • christian began to attract the notice from Romans,preacher traveled along the roads of the empire, winning converts to their new religion.
                        • christian would not accept others Romans religions,so Romans declared that was illegal,and gave them punishment,they devoured by wild animals,crucifixed..etc but they both faced these bravely

                          • people began adopted their religion,in 300 BCE there was million of christian spread out in asia,africa,rome...etc
