Home office 2012/13- 21% of young people in custody were black but they account for 3% of the popualtion
Home Office 2009/10- Black youths are 7 times more likely to be stopped and searched and 3% more likely to be arrested
Home Office 2009/10- Arrests for Asian youths increased by 13% over the last 5 years
Lea and Young- UK crime is intra-racial, (ie blacks on black crime). Racially motivated crime is much rarer
