Construction
  1. Youtube
    1. We had used YouTube as our main multimedia platform for introducing our music video to our audience. YouTube is the second most popular site, globally, therefore implicating it has a large user base hence why we as a group had no hesitation in it being our choice for distribution. Not only this but numerous large artists across the music industry upload their very own music videos to this site also.
    2. iPhone
      1. The iPhone was firstly incorporated as a back-up camera, incase our original loss charge or became unexpectedly faulty. However as we progressed into the making of our music film, it was considered that the iPhone camera was at a much better quality than the video camera we was using; due to its ability to shoot in 4K. Therefore it was decided that the iPhone would be used as our main camera source for all our footage. Secondly, another iPhone was introduced as we needed a sourceof technology that was able to connect to a speaker of which can play the original song, for our artist to hear.
      2. Sony HD Camera
        1. The Sony HD Camera was at first used for all our source of footage. Until we adapted and had a liking towards the iPhones ability to shoot in 4K (As described in under the subtitle: iPhone)
        2. Bluetooth Speaker
          1. The Bluetooth Speaker was ideally used to ensure our artist had flawlessly lip synced his mouth in time with the artists voice and the beat of the song. This small speaker was connected to an iPhone (seperate to the one recording), of which was playing our chosen song, and hidden within the artists hood as it disguised the speaker from the audience being able to see it but it also allowed our artist to hear the lyrics without disturbance
          2. Headphones
            1. Headphones were an important factor in constructing our music video, during the editing stage. The headphones allowed the editor to indulge into the work and clearly hear the song, to be able to align the footage with the lip syncing without disturbance from others or even disturbing those in the surrounding area.
            2. Adobe Premiere Pro CS6
              1. This software was in our best understanding considering we had been using it during the course of our Foundation Portfolio therefore we thought between the choice of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Po, Adobe Premiere Pro was our best option. However it was later decided, that Final Cut Pro was the better software due to its ability of being efficient and effective in its cutting, transitioning and positioning.
              2. Final Cut Pro
                1. Final Cut Pro was an editing software under consideration for our construction in post-production. After numerous attempts in Adobe Premiere Pro, we eventually edited our production on Final Cut Pro (as described under the subtitle: Adobe Premiere pro CS6).
                2. Photoshop
                  1. Photoshop was our main software during the process of constructing the majority of our ancillary texts. These designs included the advert, the tour date poster and the digipak. It was used as we were able to cut multiple, seperate images, and combine them together through the tools Photoshop provides. Many tools such as blur, sharpening, saturation levels, black and white, smoothing and the use of contrast were all at our disposal. The continous access to these features allowed our group to keep consistent synergy throughout our media texts.
                  2. InDesign
                    1. InDesign was a software we began using for our drafted ancillary texts. The reason for doing this instead of completely using Photoshop was due to our decision in wanting to widening our knowledge in the design programs. Considering, we already had knowledge of Photoshop, from our Foundation Portfolio, by using InDesign we were able to grapple an understanding of how it works and decide whether or not the tools available allowed us to adapt our media texts better than Photoshop. However we eventually came to a decision to apply all of our ancillary texts through Photoshop instead (as described under the subtitle: Photoshop)
