  1. Judaism is 3,500 years old, the only religion older is Hinduism
    1. Monotheism= Belief in one God
      1. Anti-semitism= Treating someone badly because they are Jewish
        1. There are 4 main branches of Jews; Orthodox, conservative, Progressive or reform and Liberal
          1. Abraham means father of multitudes
            1. A Jew is only a pure Jew if he/she was born from a Jewish mother
              1. The Torah contains a central prayer calling for belief in one God, the Shema
                1. Jesus was born a Jew but the Jewish do not believe that he was the Messiah
                  1. Jewish people believe they have been chosen by God to tell the world about him, in return God promised them a promised land
                    1. The Jews were blamed for the killing of Jesus
                      1. Jewish believe they have a special connection to God meaning they have to behave in a righteous way
