Resource summary

calculating the speed of waves
  1. wave length symbol =λ
    1. there are two equations we can use to calculate the speed of waves
      1. speed (m/s) = Distance (m) / time (s)
        1. speed = frequency (Hz) x Wavelength (m)
        2. other equations
          1. Distance = Speed x time
            1. Time = distance / speed
              1. Wavelength = Speed/ frequency
                1. Frequency = Speed / Wavelength
                2. A = Amplitude- the heigh of a wave from the middle
                  1. W = Wavelength= the length of one wave. measure from peak to peak!!
                    1. F = Frequency = number of waves produced per second. unit of frquency is hertz (Hz)
                      1. !!!!the Smaller the wavelengths, the higher the frequency!!!!! the bigger the wavelengths, the lower the frequency~!!!!
