Management and Operations Plans Management Plan As a business, Atlas plan to achieve and promote three main things. Providing food for those in need through a partnered charity. To be a developed establishment that entertains people to a high standard. To achieve a position of great value among our customers compared to other establishments in the same industry with incentives and activity on social media. Throughout this section of the Business plan, we will provide a detailed description and strategic plan of how Atlas as a business plans to achieve these goals and more. 1. Providing food for those in need through a partnered charity. This is an incentive that the owners have developed for a few reasons, the first of which, is that having a charity attatched to our business drawcard that will invite customers to our cafe so that they can feel like they are helping the world and people less fortunate. The second reason ties in with the financial side, because we are partnered with a charity, our prices can be higher by a small percentage and thus we can expand our profit margin. The third and final reason that we have chosen to partner with a charity is that it adds to our reputation as a wholistic business that can care for the environment and the world we live in, whilst still providing a service to the general public. 2. To be a developed establishment that entertains people to a high standard. This goal was developed as something to work towards an idea of a business that is well designed and convenient for all types of people, however this goal, unlike the others, is notsomething that can be physically measured by a thing, or an amount, it is an idea that we will work towards. We plan to adhere to this by making our service as convenient and incluse as possible. This will be done through our range of menu items and the ways you can order and consume our products. For example, as a cafe chain, we plan to include vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and other dietary requirement options in order to be as inclusive as possible. As for the ways you can order and consume our products, we plan to have an option to order through Uber Eats at certain times, as well as possibly an online alternative to pre-order your meals or coffee for example. This engages us in the younger side of our target audience by incorporating technology into the way we order and go about our business. In order to be a devolped establishment, to us, it means creating a chain of cafes that has a reputation among the general public for being a chilled out environment where you can know that you will definetly get a good quality food or drink item for a proportional cost. Adding to that, we know we have achieved our goal of entertaining people to a high standard when they leave feeling satisfied both socially and hunger-ly. 3. To achieve a position of great value among our customers compared to other establishments in the same industry with incentives and activity on social media. Goal 3 was devised out of a marketing strategy used to bring awareness and traction to the business, as the more people that know about our business, the more that are likely to travel to specifically come to the cafe. Having an active social media presence will firther align our business with the growing number of social media users in Perth and then when we expand into more cities, the users in those cities. This is overall, highly beneficial to the business' reputation, and therefore contributes to the position of great value among our current and potential consumers. Social media has been shown to be a highly effective tool for businesses, with benefits all contributing to increased profits, deeper and more loyal consumer relationships, as well as seeing what the competitors are doing, and advertising effectively for a fraction of other advertising techniques. Operations plan THINGS I STILL HAVE TO DO/INCLUDE: Time plan Final edit and run through to make sure it makes sense Send to Sai and Thommo to read through and edit, make sure they send their edits back IN RED COLOUR Finish off final document with corrections and possibly give to Ms D-S to read through and check if the general idea is right Check the differences between Operational and Management plans with Ms D-S so they don't end up being too similar Express the final ideas with Sai and Thomas so everything lines up in terms of plans and facts etc
