Neutron = RAM - AN John Dalton = suggested the idea of matter being made up of atoms no. of electron is the same as the no. of protons solid particles have strong bonds and vibrate. They cannot move out of their position. They are arranged in a regular pattern. Liquid particles can move around each other and have very little bond with each other. They are arranged in a random order. Gas particles are arranged completely randomly and have no bonds with each other. They move around at high speeds. The mass of an atom lies in its nucleus. When a substance changes state its particles stay the same however their field of movement is changed and it changes the particle arrangement A chemical change is where the atoms form with other atoms to make a different substance completely e.g magnesium reacting with oxygen Chemical reactions are generally irreversible but almost all physical changes can be reversed Basically, proton is atomic number. Electron is the same as proton and just do Relative atomic mass - atomic Number :P
