This will be edited, even if it is just in the comment section.Perrault:-in the first printing, Red dies.-2nd printing, she survives because the huntsman saves her.-Red Riding Hood gives young women the fear that you do not get your life back after getting in bed with a wolf.-even when there is a saving done, there is serious punishment--makes one think back to what had happened when there was no huntsman in the story-don't talk to strangers. This is a sexual situation.-running away is defense-Red Riding Hood is a very young girl.-does not matter if wolf is punished because Red is still punished-interesting tales and details and telling that entices usDahl:-funny--she is still surrounded by him, but his fur serves as a victory trophy rather than an encasement-all the characters already know the story-wolf is angry when Red does not follow the script-if we did not know the story, we would not really get why this is funny-no longer is Red a target for a predator-entertaining cautionary tale--in early 17th C, werewolves were more popular,so other versions became about a werewolf--more human
