Machine learning algorithms can be broadly classified in terms of the amount of human supervision they require. The categories are    Supervised Unsupervised Semisupervised learning Reinforcement learning

Supervised

In supervised learning the training data will also include the labels which we want the algorithm to be able to predict for unseen examples.   Often these labels are supplied by human users.
