If you cannot use your facial muscles to express a facial expression, then you cannot feel the emotion that you want to express, too.  For example, we use botox to reduce wrinkles by paralyzing muscles. If the facial muscles don't move then they can't make wrinkles. However, because of not moving the muscles, the botox user cannot fully express emotions.  More seriously, that person may not be able to feel emotions.
