Benito Mussolini- Was born in the Romagna region of central Italy, and was the son of a blacksmith. -Before the First World War he was a journalist and revolutionary socialist. - He was banned for the Italian Socialist Party because he was in favour of Italy going to war. - After his service in the war he went onto to found his own newspaper and then onto develop the Fascist Movement.- On October 29th 1922 he was appointed as Prime Minister, where he established a one-party state in Italy. - In 1940 he led Italy in the Second World War.-- He was eventually hung by Italian communists after his dictatorship collapsed.
