How Renaissance Ideas Spread Scholars and artists from Europe travelled to Italy's city-states to study & exchange ideas When they returned they exchanged Renaissance ideas - each idea changed to fit individual societies Artists developed new techniques and ideas - adopted by many artists Writers and philosophers expressed ideas that showed changing worldviews

How Humanism Affected the Renaissance Worldview Classical writings suggested that life on Earth had value Before humanism - people believed that preparing for afterlife was more important than worrying about daily life Studies explained that humans had potential to do great things as individuals - without being limited by the strict social roles of the Middle Ages These ideas became the foundation of a philosophy called humanism
