Real Sources of happiness Time with Family and friends creating happy memories and life experiences It's not what you have, but who you have. By not focusing on what you don't have, but rather who you have, life seems more satisfying.
Materialism "The more of it one has the more one wants." Enough is never enough. By achieving happiness through accumulating objects, the end goal is never attainable. The competition with everyone to have the best can be stressful. The recent rise of credit card debt can be attributed to the concept that money and things can bring about true happiness.
