Learning outcomes After studying this topic, you should be able to: Describe the threat of dehydration posed by the atmosphere. List the main strategies by which terrestrial plants conserve water. Compare and contrast water conservation strategies used by animals with those employed by plants. Describe the availability of water within a system and explain its flux through the system in terms of water potential.
