Explain how a religious believer might respond to Allah. A Muslim would use prayer to respond to Allah. Prayer is an important channel of education between Allah and his creation because it enables Muslims to have a personal relationship with Him. They also read the Qur'an as a response to Allah. The third pillar of Islam is zakah, and it requires every Muslim to give 2.5 % of their spare income to the needy. Muslims believe this is what Allah wants people to do. Pilgrimage, or hajj, is another way to respond to Allah and it is believed that is required to go on hajj at least once in a lifetime. Not only does this pilgrimage fulfill their religious obligation, but it gives many Muslims an intense spiritual experience of Allah. For most Muslims, the best response to Allah is living the sort of life he requires by obeying the Qur'an and following the guidance of religious leaders and parents.
