Bristol City Council has undertaken an annual detailed survey of quality of life since 1996. The survey uses 180 indicators divided among five key themes: a high-quality environment, a thriving economy, learning and achievement, health and wellbeing, and balanced communities. While there are significant spatial differences, recent findings also reveal gender differences.Health and wellbeing differences, 2005:~Overweight or obese: Men - 55.5%~Overweight or obese: Women - 43.6%~Happy most of the time: Men - 89%~Happy most of the time: Women - 91%~5+ portions of fruit and veg a day: Men - 42.2%~5+ portions of fruit and veg a day: Women - 52.5%
