Course Introduction
This course covers Topic 7: Chemistry of Acids, which is assessed on Papers 1 and 2 of the Eduqas GCSE Chemistry course.
This chapter contains two specified practicals:
SP7A Preparation of crystals of a soluble salt from an insoluble base or carbonate
SP7B Titration of a strong acid against a strong base using an indicator
The following information, included in this course, is assessed at Higher Tier only:
The distinction between dilute and concentrated solutions, and between strong and weak acids
The fact that pH is a log scale
The relationships between the volume, mass of solute and concentration of a solution
