Questão Responda
Are school subjects capitalized? They are not capitalized unless it's the name of a language (English, Spanish ...etc) This year I am taking algebra and Spanish
Is it "math" or "maths"? Both "math" is AmE and "maths" BrE. It's important to remember that it takes a singular verb. More info here The same applies to the subject "physics" http://www.cristinacabal.com/?p=3660.
Is it "teacher" or "professor"? At school, there are teachers. At university or college, there are lecturers and professors. The word lecturer is mainly used in the UK. And in the US at universities, we can have teachers or professors. More info here http://www.cristinacabal.com/?p=5458
Is it "head teacher" or "principal"? Both "head teacher" is BrE and "principal" is AmE.
Is it to "revise" or to "review" for an exam? Both, you revise in the UK and review in the US
Do you take an "exam" or a "test"? Again both, the difference is that the exam is more formal and it can test the student on a number of lessons, whereas a test is less formal and it can be given at the end of a lesson to test students' understanding of the lesson
Which is correct? I'm at school or I'm in school? Again, both are correct, the first one is BrE and the second AmE
