Mass is NOT the same as weight. Mass is defined as: "The amount of matter in an object"
Mass is measured in kilograms (kg) A water balloon is more massive than an air balloon; there is more matter (water) in the water balloon
The mass of an object never changes (unless we alter the object)! Weight is a force caused by gravity pulling on a mass
Weight is a measure of how heavy an object is and it always acts towards the centre of the planet As the size of gravity changes so does the weight
