Questão Responda
What is the formula to calculate speed? distance travelled ____________ time taken
What is the unit for measuring speed? m/s
What is it called when something or someone is moving at the same speed (a steady speed)? Going at a constant speed.
What does accelerate mean? Speed up
On a graph, if the line is flat, what does it mean? It means that something or someone has stopped moving.
On a graph, if the line is going upwards increasingly steeply, what is it called? Accelerating.
If a car is going over the speed limit, then sees a speed camera in view, what might he/she do? The biker would've slowed down. On a graph it'd look something like a line going up steeply and then curving down a bit as the speed camera comes into view.
What are independent variables? Ones we can change
What are dependant variables? A variable whose value depends on another.
What is correlation? Correlation is a statistical measure that indicates the extent to which two or more variables fluctuate together.
If the independent variable is discrete, what chart should you use? Bar chart
Two cars are going opposite directions, one at 70mph, the other at 60mp. How fast does it look? 130mph because you add them together
Two cars are going the same direction, one at 60mph, the other at 20mph. How fast does it look? 40mph because you minus the numbers.
What forces act on a plane in the sky? Air resistance, Gravity, Lift and Thrust
What does it mean when all the forces are in balance? It means that each force is perfectly balanced by an equal force in the opposite direction.
What is a gravitational field? A gravitational field is an area in which an object feels a force.
What is weight measured in? Newton's (N)
What is mass measured in? Kilograms (kg)
The force of gravity on you depends on your distance from a planet. The further away you are from the Earth, the weaker the gravitational field strength, so the weaker the force pulling you back. NO ANSWER IT'S A STATEMENT NO ANSWER IT WAS A STATEMENT Didn't you read what I said on the other side of this card?
What is gravity? Gravity is the force keeping us to the ground on earth.
