Louisiana 1868 November elections. KKK violence and intimidation. Over 2000 murdered, 200 of these were hunted in the woods
Abram Colby 1868/69 Abram Colby was an African American man in politics. 1868 KKK bribed him to stop him from progressing any further. 1869 KKK took from his home at night and whipped him in a forest because he wouldn't stop progressing with his career and he was going to vote Republican in the upcoming election.
South Carolina 1871 KKK South Carolina - 500 masked KKK members marched to a County Union jail and lynched 8 African American prisoners They were mostly likely able to do this due to KKK sympathisers and KKK members
Colfax Massacre 1873 In this massacre the White League led a rebellion against a court house with weapons as they didn't like African Americans that worked there. 150 African Americans died, so did 3 white
New Orleans 1874 5000 members of the White league marched into New Orleans with the intention to take over the Republican Government. If they succeeded there could have been another Civil War.
Mississippi Plan 1875 A series of organised violence and intimidation's from various white terrorist groups. The Democrats wanted to take over the Republicans but they failed, had they succeeded there could have been another Civil War.

When were the KKK created 1865, seven ex-confederate soldiers returned from the Civil War and were not happy with the outcome. They decided to start a group that would ultimately 'keep the black man down.'

How were the KKK 'stopped' 1870-71 enforcement Acts from President Ulysses S. Grant. 1.No disguises were allowed 2. Federal Troops could now arrest KKK members even if they are in Southern territory 3. Severe punishment for anyone who tries to stop someone from voting.
Did the KKK actually achieve anything? (1) No America was still ran by a Republican until Cleveland came along - even then the KKK were mostly quietened down
Did the KKK actually achieve anything? (2) Yes. One could argue that they were one of the more significant reasons that Reconstruction failed.
Where did the KKK go after the 1870-71 enforcement Acts? They dispersed and joined other White Terrorist groups such as the White League, Red shirts and Rifle clubs
