Book 10 | Odysseus has adventures with Aeolus the wind-god, the giant Laestrygonians (who destroy all but his own ship), and the enchantress Circe, who sends him to the Underworld. |
Book 12 | When he leaves Circe, he listens to the song of the Sirens, escapes Scylla and Charybdis, and arrives on Thriancia (Apollo's island). There his men eat the holy cows, and the god proceeds to destroy the ship - only Odysseus survives, and is swept on to Ogygia. |
