| What is Symbolic Interactionism? | It is a micro level theory that focuses on the relationships amount individuals within a society. Communication - the exchange of meaning through language and symbols - is believed to be the way in which people make sense of their social world. |
| What is Social Conflict? | The struggle for agency or power in society. It occurs when 2 or more actors oppose each other in an effort to achieve incompatible goals whilst preventing the other from attaining their own. |
