Questão Responda
How are the particles arranged in a solid? They have a low amount of kinetic energy and they are tightly bonded together.They can only vibrate.
Can a liquid be squashed? No. They have nowhere to move.
How are the particles arranged in a gas? They have no bonds and they they have a large amount of kinetic energy.They are free to fill up a container.
How are the particles arranged in a liquid? They are loosely connected and have a medium amount of kinetic energy.They can flow and change neighbors.
Can a solid be squashed? No. This is because the particles have nowhere to move.
Can a gas be squashed ? Yes. This is because the particles in a gas are spread out and they are not compressed.So they can be squashed.
Solid -> Liquid Melting
Liquid ->gas Evaporation or boiling
gas -> liquid Condensing
liquid -> solid Freezing
What causes particles to change ? Heat causes particles to either gain kinetic energy or lose kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy that allows things to move. The more kinetic energy the more movement.The more heat the more kinetic energy.When the temperature of a substance is lowered it loses kinetic energy.
What are 7 signs of a chemical reaction? - Colour change - Texture change - Mass change - Gas released - temreture change - light emited - Fizzing
