What are the negative effects of desertification in the Sahel?(2 points and explain each one) | Flash flood are more likely to happens because soil is dry so it cannot soak up water and so it floods Hard to reclaim land once it becomes desert without lots of money meaning that precious land is being lost which could be used to grow crops for an increasing world population Subsistence farmers don't have enough money to invest pesticides, artificial fertilisers or agriculture machinery. SO if there is a drought they will find it very hard to survive. |
