Questão Responda
Biomechanical FOR allow the client to engage in occupations that would require a joint movement and strength and endurance
Orthosis (Splints) - aid in stabilization of certain structures - prevent deformity at a certain joint or structure in the UE or LE - allow and facilitate healing after injury
ROM Arc - targets ROM - transfer the rings from one end to the other - demand on the use of the joints at the shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand
Therapy Cones - very versatile - client sit in a certain way and place the therapeutic cone in a certain position - ask the client to get the therapeutic cones and transfer it to where you are
Finger Ladder as the client moves up the ladder, there would be an increase in the ROM of the shoulder and elbow
Shoulder Ladder - targets the ROM of the shoulder and elbow - placed on an inclined position to increase demand - wrist/red weight can be attached to target strength
Bilateral Sander - can place it flat on the table on the shoulder level - can raise it on an inclined position (with gravity resistance) - can put weight - improving UE coordination and strength
Limb Skate - target strength and ROM - ask the client to move across the table depending on the ROM or movement that you are targeting
Pronation / Supination Wheel - targets pronation and supination
Wrist Roller - targeting movements of the wrist (flex/extend, ulnar/radial deviation) - different sizes to accommodate the different sizes of hand of clients (larger or smaller grasps)
Graded Clothespin - targets the pinchers and muscles of the hand - different colors = different weight - bar helps with ROM of shoulder and elbow
Exercise Bands - different colors depending on the amount of resistance - think of the target muscle group and position the client in a certain way where you will be able to isolate these muscles
Wrist or Ankle Weights - targets strength - put on the client's arm, wrist, ankle - typically used with other modalities
E-Z Exer Board - Resistive finger flexion - Extension and lateral prehension - Supination and Pronation - Wrist flexion and extension
Digiflex - improve on the grip strength of the client - exercise for the muscles of the grip using the whole hand - isolated movements of the fingers
Exercise Putty (Theraputty) - can use it for different resistance, different movement, targeting different muscles of the fingers
Power Web - working on the muscles of the hand - flexion to target grip muscles - extension for the extension of the fingers - different colors = different resistance
Dumbbell - think of the muscle group that you want to specifically work on or isolate - mind the position of the client as the exercise is done - targets
Arm Ergometer - target endurance fort the UE of the client - can adjust the level of resistance and time
Peg Boards - apply the ROM and strength and endurance in a certain movement of the hands or fingers - manipulate the peg board and placing it on the board - sometimes put inside the theraputty = strength
Activity Boards - different designs of manipulation boards - ROM, strength, endurance - there are different materials that are commonly seen at home - having the clients practice the use of the hand or UE in a more goal-oriented activity
Pipe Tree - have a model that the client would have to follow - fine motor skills, ROM, eye-hand coordination and stimulation through assembling and matching exercises
Hand Helper - ROM and strength of the hand
Sensory Bins - Used for loss of sensation - Associated with neurological - Different textures and consistencies (from very soft and smooth to hard and rough
