Every digit in a number has a value, depending on its position in the number. This is called its Place value
Round ? when the key digit is 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9. up
Round ? when the key digit is 1, 2, 3 or 4. down
When you multiply a number by 10, all the digits in the number move ? place to the left. one
When you multiply a number by 100, all the digits in the number move ? places to the left. two
When you multiply a number by 1000, all the digits in the number move ? places to the left. three
When you divide a number by 10, all the digits in the number move place ? to the right. one
