Water Transport water travels from the roots to the leaves in tiny tubes that look like veins in the leaf. There are openings called stomatos on the leaf to allow water to evapote from the leaf.
Transpiration The loss of water vapour from a plant.
Flow of water through a plant As the water is evaporating into the air it pulls a column of water through the tubes in the plant. The plant then absorbs the water tha is being pulled through it.
Xylem Xylem is the tissue that transports water. It carries the water and other minerals from the roots to the other parts of the plant. xylem usually forms a hard tiwssue in palnts e.g it forms the wood in trees.
