( if the findings can be generalised to other people) | Population validity- ethnocentric, androcentric or oestrocentric Historical validity- if the findings are true for other periods such as today Ecological validity- if the findings are true to the real world |
What is a self report? | Where the participants report their own thoughts, beliefs and behaviour to the researcher |
What are the two types of questions? | Open- where you can reply in any way, and in as much detail as they like Closed- The answers are limited and words have been chosen |
What are the two types of interview? | Structured- use a set of questions, with some deviation from the set questions Unstructured- The researcher develops new questions as they go along |
