Assessment 2A During class from Mid-May, undertake a counselling session in a practice triad in which the following will be demonstrated: | 1. Clients are warmly welcomed. & ethical & confidential practice principles are explained & agreed on. |
2. Client purpose focus & boundaries are established & issues that may impact on client safety are identified. | 3. Empathy, feelings & sensitivity to the clients changing frame of reference are demonstrated & communicated via close tracking of clients frame of reference, meaning and feelings. |
4. Active listening skills are demonstrated. | Receive back from tutor & peers. |
Within 2 days of the session email a reflection of the session to the tutor: | Include. 1. What did you notice about the role & importance of positive regard, empathy and congruence. |
2. Reflection on your own issues & responses that blocked-positive regard, empathy & congruence. | 3. How you plan to manage these responses & issues. |
