What did Russia promise to do? Join the war against Japan when Germany was defeated
What did they disagree on? Stalin demanded to keep a strip of eastern Poland and no agreement was reached on this point No agreement on the amount of reparations to be paid
When was the Potsdam conference? July 1945
Who was present? (Britain, USA, Russia) Attlee, Truman and Stalin
What did they agree on? Germany was to be disarmed The Nazi party was to be disbanded Most reparations would be paid by Germany to the USSR
What did they disagree on? Truman was angry because Stalin had arrested the non-communist leaders of Poland Truman had not informed Stalin of the exact nature of the atomic bomb but he told Churchill
