Black Friday (November 1910) A protest against the objection of the Conciliation Bill, police clashed with the Suffragettes and many were treated badly.
Representation of the People Act Act set up in 1918, allowed women over 30 to vote - this was because they would be married and under the influence of their husband.
Winston Churchill Supported them at first, once they became violent he opposed them.
