HYPP Hyperkalaemic Periodic Paralysis | A genetic disorder where electrolyte balance cannot be controlled, which leads to impaired nerve function. Non-extertional. |
SIT Stress Induced Tetany | Acute depletion of serum ionised calcium. Decreased absorption from the intestines. Loss of calcium from sweat, kidneys and milk. Non-exertional. |
